The Albert Hausammann Hong Kong Trust Sponsorship

 

Established by Albert Hausammann and his partner Brigitta Kammerlander, as a token of Mr Hausammann's gratitude towards Hong Kong and the watch industry, the sponsirship bears witness to Mr Hausammann's many achievements and life-long commitment, while offering selected candidates the opportunity to become part of a long-term vision of fine watchmaking and excellence. 

 

Selected students will be able to attend the 3'000-hour Full Training program or the Customer Service Polishing Technician program on site, in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and graduate as certified watchmakers and polishers upon completion. 

 

The support sponsorship covers tuition fees, as well as student accommodation costs and basic living expenses for the length of the two-year program. 

 

In collaboration with WOSTEP and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education.

 

 

The Sponsorship is open to:

 

·       Hong Kong residents 

·       Over 21 years old

·       Fluent in English

·       With a previous working experience outside watchmaking field 

·       A keen interest in watchmaking, and the potential to become higly-skilled watchmakers 

 

No previous watchmaking or polishing education is required. 

 

 

Candidates will be required to take a 2-day test in Hong Kong to evaluate thier ability and manual dexterity. 

 

The test will be held at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee).
