Worldwide Partnership Watchmaking Instructor (M/F)

100% - Neuchâtel, Switzerland

 Main Job Ojective:

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the participants of WOSTEP programs or courses from throughout the world have successfully achieved the required skills and competencies. This objective is to be fulfilled under the following functions :

  •  examination coordinator within the worldwide partnership school network of WOSTEP
  •  effectively teaching various WOSTEP certified courses and modules on campus at WOSTEP Neuchâtel
  • participation in the formulation and development of training projects, course material and technical documents 

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of examinations in Neuchâtel (CH) and at Worldwide Partnership schools (40%)
1 week to 10 days trips to Partnership school locations, 4 - 8 times max. a year
Examination preparation, attendance and assessment
Audits and advisory support for Partnership Instructors
Results and final report

  • Training and Education (30%)
Course preparation (including organisation of tools, components, course material and documents)
Teaching short term courses (3-10 weeks) and/or longer (12-20 weeks) program modules
Evaluation of participants and provision of effective feedback so as to enable WOSTEP to optimize and expand its curriculum
  •  Development of technical documents and course material (20%)
Identification and anticipation of training needs
Ensuring quality and availability of course material
Development of new course material according to needs
  • Project management (10%)


  • 4-year watchmaking CFC, or WOSTEP 3000-hour certificate, or equivalent watchmaking education and diploma.
  • Technical bachelor degree, and/or further training and education (postgraduate degree, adult teaching diploma or specific technical courses), an asset.


  • Proven experience (>3 years) in Customer Service
  • Confirmed experience as a technical trainer or as a technical advisor
  •  With min. 2 years experience in issuing technical reports and documents, an asset

 Further assets, experience in:

  • evaluating technical personnel on an international level,
  • preparing and conducting audits
  • project leadership

 Key Competencies:

  • Native level English (min. IELTS level 5.0-6.0 or CEFR level B2 / C1),
  • Business level French (min. CEFR level B1/B2)
  • Other languages, an asset
  •  Excellent communication and pedagogical skills
  • Analytical skills,
  • Systematic, methodical approach
  •  Enhanced IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project Management tool)
  •  Confident in micromechanics

  • Reporting to the Director
